More and more children consuming energy drinks

In Hungary the market turnover of the energy drinks was 14 billion HUF last year, 240 thousand hectoliters were sold from this product – states the National Association for Consumer Protection (OEF).

The interviewed children claimed, that they started consuming energy drinks at age 11 on average, but there were also kids who tried at age 6. The association also calls attention to the increasing number of school-age children with uncontrolled energy drink consumption, even the symptoms of caffeine overdose can appear among them – reports ProfitLine.hu, after MTI.
