More and more Balaton hotels are being sold
The real estate market shows significant changes in the area of hotels, guesthouses and restaurants. On one of the largest real estate sites, the number of accommodations and restaurants for sale has apparently increased. There used to be accommodation and restaurants for sale, but now we can find over a hundred such ads, and this affects various tourist destinations in Hungary, for example from Budapest to Siófok, from Visegrád to Hajdúszoboszló. For example, there are more than fifty restaurants and hotels for sale in Siófok.
This situation probably indicates that the summer tourist season at Lake Balaton was not as successful as expected. The KSH’s August data did not confirm the optimism for domestic tourism either. According to the data, last August there were 896,000 domestic guest nights at Lake Balaton, while this year there were 869,000, while the number of foreign guest nights increased to 357,000 compared to the previous year’s 374,000. 1 million 253 thousand during the period.
An example of the situation is that among the buildings for sale in Siófok is the Jókai Villa, where the current 4-star Villa Hotel operates, and it is now being offered for HUF 1.1 billion. Another example can be found in Visegrad, where the 22-room Mr. Görgey Art Hotel & Bistro is for sale for HUF 1.5 billion. In addition, several other hotels and restaurants are for sale, including Mátyás Pince Éttermet in Budapest, Kukorica Csárda in Balatonföldvár and Littke Pezsgőháza in Pécs. The prices of the properties are very varied, but the trend is clearly the increasing number of properties for sale.
