More and more glass waste is being generated
Today, more and more glass waste is being generated, which is several times more than in previous decades. In Hungary, this number is about 100,000 tonnes of packaging bottles per year. The proportion of glass waste in household waste has increased to approximately 5%, which is 10.2 kg per inhabitant per year. These bottles are almost 100% recyclable, so the quality of the final product can be nearly identical to that of a new glass, while almost 20% eneriga savings can be achieved in such recycled glass production.
