Food is saved in a growing number of ALDI stores
ALDI and the Food Bank have been cooperating since 2016. By the end of 2018 75 ALDI stores joined the leftover food saving programme. This year more ALDI stores will team up with Food Bank. In 2018 the discounter chain collected 784 tons of food, donating it to Food Bank; from this quantity 21.5 tons came from ALDI’s central warehouse. //
