We are buying furniture more and more environmentally conscious – JYSK presented its spring-summer collection
In addition to Scandinavian cosiness and functionality, beautiful colors, modern shapes, natural and sustainable materials return to the JYSK spring-summer range. Line Skaaning Lindskov, professional manager of JYSK Range & Design, spoke at the JYSK event about the new season’s interior design trends, JYSK’s trend forecast, and the role of sustainability and closeness to nature in Scandinavian everyday life.
The growing customer awareness of sustainability and the demand for sustainable and natural materials can increasingly determine the home furnishing and design trends of the coming years. As the effects of climate change are increasingly felt, the demand for sustainability has also entered interior design and our homes. This is also reflected in furniture purchases, with a shift towards furniture made from reclaimed wood and accessories made from recycled glass and metal. As a result of the pandemic and the subsequent economic difficulties, our shopping habits have changed and social sensitivity to environmental protection has increased, as well as the demand for durable furniture, but we are also instinctively attracted to natural and traditional materials – revealed the presentation of JYSK’s spring-summer range at a press event.
