The guests at the Lake Balaton spend less and less

Restaurant owners are complaining: in spite of the many guests, they spend less and less, they are eating their lunch from cooler bags on the beach and they are sleeping at friends. The lakeside hotel room rates decreased in vain, the demand only increases for 50 percent discounted coupon holidays – Népszabadság Online writes.

The season at Lake Balaton started this year harder than usual, and mostly Hungarian guests visited the lake – the restaurateurs told. Restaurant owners are complaining mainly in the northern coast, in Siófok the restaurateurs are more satisfied. The Hungarians eat more, but rather from cooler bags and from stores. They sometimes extend their lunch with a couple of scones,  melons, fried fish from the beach buffet. (Népszabadság Online)
