Further decline in German beer consumption
Further decline occurred in in German beer consumption in the first three months of the year. According to the datas of the German statistical office; consumption decreased by 2 percent to 17.5 million hectoliters compared to a year earlier.
In contrast, exports to the European Union countries grew by 6 percent of exports to countries out of Europe by 16.2 per cent of exports.
In 2010, 98.3 million hectoliters of beer were sold in the EU's biggest member state, which is 1.7 percent less than a year ago – writes mfor.hu.
