Community accomodation has an increasing proportion
Community accomodation has an increasing proportion in the tourist market. According to the analysis of the BDO Magyarország consulting firm, the community property capacity doubled in Budapest between 2010 and 2015, while on the surface of Airbnb guest traffic increased approximately to six-fold, while the hotel demand increased by only 40 percent.
In the analysis sent to MTI on Thursday it is highlighted that 2.2 million overnight stays were registered in the community accommodations in Budapest last year, while in hotels almost 8 million. On the basis of the data 20 percent of the market is realized at private accommodations sold on social networking sites. (MTI)
