Fruit harvest may be 1 million tons
This year’s fruit harvest may reach 1 million tons – according to a survey conducted by Hungary’s Interprofessional Organisation for Fruit and Vegetable (FruitVeB). The reasons behind this are the mild winter weather and the fact that farmers started using protection against pests in time. Apple yield is expected to be the best at 780,000-800,000 tons.
