Negotiation for the success of domestic agricultural machinery manufacturers and distributors
The key to successful domestic agriculture is modernization, which is essential not only from an economic point of view, but also from an environmental and social point of view, said Anikó Juhász, the Deputy Secretary of State responsible for agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture, during a meeting with a representative of the interest protection organizations of domestic agricultural machinery manufacturers and distributors.
Anikó Juhász explained at the meeting that the crises of recent years have highlighted the inevitability of modernization, and supporting it can significantly help the expansion and promotion of the Hungarian agricultural machinery industry in foreign markets. This process can be helped by the support of interest protection organizations and members, in addition to the designation of policy and goals, he added.
The international market also holds serious opportunities
Oszkár Ökrös, the Deputy Secretary of State responsible for international relations at the Ministry of Agriculture, spoke about the international processes and trends that characterize agricultural mechanization and modernization. In his presentation, he mentioned international examples and explained what kind of machines, technology, or cooperation some countries would be open to. He also reported on the opportunities Hungarian agricultural machinery manufacturing companies have in entering the international market, as well as the opportunities to appear on foreign markets that domestic companies could take advantage of.
Whoever was involved participated
The event was attended by the National Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (MEGOSZ), the National Association of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Distributors (MEGFOSZ), and the agricultural attachés, who could follow the event live online. Dr. László Fenyvesi, Secretary General of MEGOSZ, presented the organization’s activities, membership, and the results of the foreign trade demand survey conducted among the members, and then Dr. Viktor Medina, director of MEGFOSZ, informed about the goals and activities of the association bringing together distributors, as well as possible cooperation opportunities.
At the meeting, those present agreed to continue joint work in order to enable domestic agricultural machinery manufacturers and distributors to appear as successfully as possible on international markets.
