The Florentine knives made with the cooperation of 17 local suppliers and craftsmen could also be symbols of design, craftsmanship and social cohesion. On the knives of designer Tomer Botner, who works in the Florentine district in the south-west of Tel Aviv, the colored discs are not only decorative – they can also be used to ensure optimal weight distribution.
