Annual inflation in the euro area was stagnant in August
The pace of year on year consumer price increase was stagnant in the euro area in August.
According to the final figures released by the European Union Bureau of Statistics (Eurostat) on Wednesday, the value of consumer prices rose in August at an annual rate of 1.0 in the 19-nation eurozone, which was the lowest increase since 2016. .
Annual inflation was 1.0 in July and 1.3 in June. One year later, in August 2018, the rise was 2.1 percent. (MTI)
