A self-made star’s favorite – This is what Dzsúdló McDonald’s menu will look like
In the latest domestic chapter of McDonald’s campaign featuring celebrity-favorite Mekis orders, Dzsúdló, aka Marci Juhász, is in the spotlight. The musician, who started out in a small village in Borsod County and has now become one of the most popular performers of Generation Z, is not only a defining figure on the music charts, but also in the Hungarian concert scene.
The menu is the next stop in a campaign series aimed at one of the world’s best-known fast food brands showing that everyone, including celebrities, can have a Meki favorite, and that McDonald’s is a brand that fans and celebrities can share. Similar foreign collaborations have already featured stars such as Travis Scott, Cardi B, and Mariah Carey. At home, McDonald’s has already introduced fans to the favorite of Dominik Szoboszlai and the influencer duo TheVR.
The menu, which reflects the artist’s versatility
Dzsúdló Mekis’ Favorite consists of a Pork McFarm sandwich, Camembert cheese bites, Sour Cream garlic sauce, a Sprite Zero soft drink and French fries, so it is exactly like the artist himself: both traditional and unconventional. The Pork McFarm® is also a truly special choice, as the sandwich was originally developed in Hungary in the 2000s, and was later introduced in several European countries.
Thanks to the joint creative work with the restaurant chain’s team, Dzsúdló’s vision is reflected throughout the campaign: the distinctive shape of the menu box, the drawn figure appearing on the menu packaging and in the campaign, and many other creative elements are also based on the musician’s ideas and visual concepts. This reflects a Hungarian, urban retro inspiration that is also reflected in the selected menu items, from the Hungarian-developed sandwich to the Tejfölös-Golgaymas sauce to the Kistelek-made cheese snacks.
In addition, Dzsúdló wrote the narration for the campaign’s commercial, and the music that plays during the spot is even an excerpt from the artist’s latest song, which the general public will only be able to hear in its full form at the end of August. The music video for this song is being produced by Viktor Horváth, a successful Hungarian music director living in America, who is also scoring the commercial and with whom Dzsúdló and his team have long wanted to work.
