A glass of wine on the road
Entrepreneur James Nash has come up with an inventive idea to help make reaching for that glass of vino more convenient. Nash came up with a line of single-serving cups of wine when he identified the trouble people face when they want to enjoy a glass of wine but have to buy a bottle, and have a wine key readily available to do so. His invention was ridiculed at the TV-show “the Dragons’ Den” but is now available at British supermarket Marks & Spencer. How did it go? Well – just brilliant, it has become a huge success for M&S. It is creative souls like James Nash that should keep going, despite the doubts expressed by less imaginative people. It somewhat makes me warm at heart to think about, sort of like David and Goliath.
Stacked stemless glasses, termed Vinoware, are made from a shatterproof, lightweight plastic that, in addition to being disposable, also protects the wine from oxidation and spoilage. They retain the look and feel of wine's traditional drinking vessel, while keeping it as fresh as its standard storage vessel. Stacked wine transports easily for picnics, BBQs, tailgates, concerts, festivals, camping trips…anywhere a 750 mL glass bottle would be an unwelcome addition to the bag whomever drew the short straw is going to have to carry around all day. Stacked also squashes the excuse of not having a little grape-infused unwinder at home after work because it's not worth it to open a whole bottle of wine for just one glass.
