Product comparison sites have one or two years to screen their system
European Commission's e-commerce package of measures was published on 25 May. The Commission proposes new e-commerce rules to help consumers and companies reap full benefit of Single Market
One element of a package of recommendations sums up the detailed conditions for lawful and ethical operation of websites (comparison tools).
“It is expected that the published regulations go into effect within 1-2 years, and then unfair trade practices will be more severely penalized” – dr. Hargita Árpád, partner of KLART Legal, competition law expert emphasized.
