An icon was born with the collaboration between Lidl and Tisza Cipő

After weeks of speculation, Lidl has finally pulled the curtain back: it has created a truly exclusive sneaker for its fans in collaboration with the legendary Tisza Cipő. The first 12 pairs of numbered shoes were also launched with drones and, amidst great excitement, descended from the sky to the lucky ones in six locations across the country. With the limited edition sneaker, the company is simultaneously paying tribute to Hungarian products and Hungarian design and bringing fresh impetus to the world of streetwear.

Lidl has long proven that it is not just a discount chain, but a true “love brand” spanning generations. Its fans proudly wear the discount chain’s own-brand clothing products, whether it’s a T-shirt, a cap or even slippers. Now, it has come up with a more unique promotion than ever before: Lidl Hungary and Tisza Cipő have started a joint collaboration, the result of which is a real curiosity – a limited edition sneaker. The creation of the shoe combines the popular design of Lidl and the comfortable and stylish design of Tisza Cipő Compakt.

Then, when Lidl shoes fall from the sky

The collaboration shoes did not arrive just like that, but as part of a spectacular, so-called sneaker drop: they descended from the sky by drone on the afternoon of Saturday, August 2nd, at six locations across the country. In recent days, giant posters have been advertising the special event in various parts of the country, and keen-eyed fans received further information about the time and location of the drop via the QR code link found there. Finally, the drones brought 2 pairs of shoes to each of the six locations amidst great excitement. The lucky owners were the first to scan the QR code on the bottom of the shoe box.

A tribute to excellent Hungarian products

Lidl Hungary currently employs nearly 9,500 Hungarian employees and has been working for more than a decade to work with as many Hungarian suppliers and producers as possible and to promote domestic products – all of which contribute to domestic value creation.
