Euro-area inflation declined to one-year low in May
Inflation in the euro area declined to a one-year low in May on the basis of the preliminary data of Eurostat, the European Union’s Statistical Office.
In May, inflation fell to 1.2 percent in the euro area, from the 1.7 percent of April, according to the preliminary data, based on aggregation. The market expected 1.3 percent inflation for May in the euro area. The 1.2 percent inflation rate is the lowest since last April. (MTI)
