Optimistic consumer sentiment developed in the United States
With a larger-than-expected rise, the Consumer Sentiment Index in the U.S. reached a level that reflected the most optimistic attitude since March 2020 – according to the results of a monthly regular survey by the University of Michigan published on Friday.
For March, the index increased to 83.0 points from the 76.8 points of February, instead of the expected 78.5 points. This value is the highest since March 2020, when the index stood at 89.1 points. (MTI)
