In one year the price of potatoes and vegetables increased significantly

Portfolio.hu looked at the inflation data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) in March, highlighting the sharp rise in food prices.

In the consumer basket of KSH, foods have a 26 percent share, so those who spend most of their income have the right to feel that they have to dig deeper into their purses during shopping than a few years ago – portfolio.hu wrote.

The price of potatoes and fresh vegetables has gone up in recent months due to harsh weather conditions.

Cabbage with 127%
onions with 109%,
potatoes with 84% in 12 months.
