The price level of cereals was still up by almost 30% yr/yr
The KSH detected a 8.1% yr/yr increase in the January-May period, down from 9.8% in the first four months.
Excluding fruits and vegetables, agricultural producer
prices were up by 9.1% yr/yr, unchanged from the April rise. The January-May
growth was 10.4% against +10.7% in January-April. The producer price of crops
jumped 20.3% yr/yr in May, against a rise of 14.3% in April. In the January-May
period, the KSH detected a 25.1% increase here, up from 17.8% in the first four
months.
The producer price of vegetables plummeted 39.6% yr/yr in April, against a drop
of 6.2% in April. In Jan-May it was down 9.0%, versus a fall of 2.8% in the
first four months).
The producer price of milk rose 8.3% yr/yr in May, vs. +7.9% yr/yr in April and
was up 5.9% in Jan-May, vs. +5.3% in Jan-Apr. The producer price of eggs jumped
14.7% yr/yr in May, against an increase of 9.1% in April. For the first five
months the KSH detected an increase of 13.2% (vs. +13% in Jan-Apr).
