Food prices increased by 6.1 percent in a year
Consumer prices in July were 5.8 percent higher than a year earlier, while compared to the previous month, decreased by 0.1 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
According the datas of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) the price of tobacco products increased by 0.5 percent, the price of services by 0.8 percent, fuel prices by 2.5 percent, while food prices decreased by 0.2 percent.
Annual inflation accelerated from the 5.6 percent of June after the food prices increased from 5.0 percent to 6.1 percent, while the price of alcoholic beverages increased from 13.8 to 14.1 percent. (MTI)
