54 million Visa transactions in Hungary

Point-of-sale (POS) transactions made with Visa cards in Hungary rose 22.9% in Visa Europe's business year ended September 30, the card issuer said.

 The amount of money spent on POS
purchases and the value of cash withdrawals with Visa cards rose 26%
in the 2007/2008 business year, Visa Europe said, without revealing
an absolute figure. There are 2.7 million Visa cards in
circulation in Hungary.
