Kifli customers bought 40 percent more meat in one year
The demand for fish is constantly increasing, with the turnover of this category expanding by 27 percent in the past year, while sales of poultry and beef increased by nearly 40 percent, according to data from Kifl.hu. The online supermarket offers more than 400 types of meat, fish and seafood products, including more than 300 fresh products. Premium products include specialties such as shot pheasant, pigeon or quail.
Kifli.hu offers more than 280 types of meat and 120 types of fish and seafood products, of which more than 300 are exclusively available as fresh products. Quality and a wide range are of paramount importance to customers, which is why the online supermarket is constantly expanding and developing the category. Customers are increasingly open to quality fish, and more and more people are becoming loyal customers in this category. Today, every fifth order includes some kind of fish. The turnover of the fish and seafood category increased by 27 percent in the past year, while poultry and beef grew by almost 40 percent in the past year.
Kifli.hu works with more than 20 domestic producers and manufacturers who ensure quality raw materials, including Szomor Farm and Hubertus Agráripari Zrt. FJORU fish, for example, is ASC and MSC certified, guaranteeing that it comes from sustainable and responsible fishing.
The premium selection of beef includes Terra Pannonia, Angus beef raised on the shores of Lake Balaton, and the Sutcha private label Japanese Wagyu. Fish lovers can also choose specialties such as flounder from the Budaörs fish market or Panarini sturgeon from Zala.
Among the largest individual product categories, poultry leads the way, accounting for 45 percent of the meat category’s turnover and 62 percent of purchases. This is followed by pork with 20 percent, while fish and beef share the top spots with 17.5 and 14 percent, respectively. In recent months, the range has been expanded with several specialties, including beef, game meat and premium fish. Featured new products include pigeon, quail and shot pheasant, which also offer exciting opportunities for gastronomy lovers.
