300 food stores closed in one years
Currently there is 300 less food stores in Hungary, than a year ago. The number of hypermarkets and discount stores increased in the largest extent, and there are also cities, where the owners are trying to get rid of 40-50 small stores.
The overall number of food stores decreased by 2 percent ie 332 stores last year, compared to last year. Thus, 19,569 food stores were selling food late last year in Hungary.According to moderate estimates, the property owners in Kaposvár and its environs are trying to get rid of 40-50 small stores – reports penzcentrum.hu.
