18% increase at Visa Hungary
Visa cards were used to make EUR 1.5 billion worth of purchases in Hungary in Visa's business year ended September 30, 2007.Last year the number of new Visa Cards
growth with 7.4% now there are 2,8 million cards in circulation. The
customers payed avarage 34 euros per usage, the number of
tranactions hit 46.7 million. In a year of significant change in the
European cards market, Visa Europe reported increases in excess of
11,9% in terms of Hungarian cardholder spending at point of sale and
the number of retail transactions in the year to 30 September 2007.
