Hungarian Industrial Producer Sales Price Rose by 10 % in One Year
Domestic sales prices of the whole industry grew by 0.8% in March 2008 compared to the previous month, which figure was slightly higher than the monthly increase rate measured in February (0.5%).
Prices of food products rose by 0.6% in
March compared to the previous month. Prices remained stable in
manufacture of rubber andplastic products. In manufacture of wood and
wood products and that of pulp, paper and paper products, publishing
and printing the prices decreased by 0.5%, while the prices of
textile and textile products diminished by 0.3%. In other branches of
manufacturing industry price increases varied between 0.1 and 0.7%.
Representing a considerable
proportion in domestic sales, prices of
electricity, gas and water supply rose by 0.4%, which equals the
figure measured in February.
Export sales prices of industry as a
whole measured in HUF lessened by 0.3% compared to February 2008, and
went up by 2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous
year. The HUF appreciated by 0.7% against the Euro and by 5.7%
against the USD compared to the previous month. Compared to March
2007 the HUF weakened by 4.1% against the Euro and appreciated by
11.2% against the USD.
