Half a kilo of poultry products bought per purchase
Poultry products is the second biggest segment on the market of processed meat. GfK Hungária’s Consumer Scan reveals that in October 2008-September 2009 the segment shrank by a mere 2 percent, in comparison to the 5-percent decrease of the market in total. In terms of turnover, the segment remained stable, while the total market realised a 2-percent growth. 92 percent of households bought meat products, with poultry products’ share being 78 percent. The average household purchased 22 times in the examined period (average purchase was 0.5 kg).
