Success of Eger winemakers at the Wine World Championship in Bordeaux
The wineries of Eger won four gold, five silver and nine bronze medals in Bordeaux at the non-official Wine World Championship.
Once again the wine region of Eger has become the most productive wine region of Hungary at the International Challenge du Vin wine competition which is the world's most prestigious wine competition – Zentai László, City Council spokesman told MTI on Wednesday.
38 countries of five continents and approximately five thousand samples were competing at the contest. Hungary won 11 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze medals, of which 18 won by the winemakers of Eger. (MTI)
