ÉFOSZ: the performance of the Hungarian food industry increased last year
The economic performance of the Hungarian food industry increased last year. According to preliminary datas, it was 2 percent above the 2010 levels – said Éder Tamás, president of the National Food Processors Association (ÉFOSZ) on Wednesday in Budapest, at the professional meeting of the association.
He added that the food industry output rose last year despite the fact that the farming conditions have not improved.
The President stressed that the performance increase is mainly due to the 6 percent increase in export sales, because domestic sales – as in previous years – decreased by around 3 percent last year. (MTI)
