Sweets and bacon? Unusual, but irresistible
We’re just over Valentine’s Day, we’re waiting for the sun to come out and we’re still fighting the frost in the morning, so we’re trying to survive the last breaths of winter with warmth and pampering. We crave sweets, chocolate, and real comfort food. What if we are looking for this in some unusual combination? Here are some examples of the meeting of sweet and salty flavors, that is, bacon visits the land of sweets.
More and more extreme or at least unusual flavor pairings can be found in stores, be it dressings, chocolates or soft drinks. It is no different in restaurants, where they often combine apparently incompatible ingredients, such as chocolate and bacon.
However, if we have a minimal openness to discover exciting flavor combinations, and perhaps even take the time to experiment in the kitchen, we can realize that bacon is a very versatile type of meat.
