E-receipt: Számlázz.hu has launched an information site to help businesses
A new life begins for tens of thousands of entrepreneurs: the regulation concerning e-cash registers came into force on April 1st. Based on the regulation, Számlázz.hu, which serves 800 thousand businesses, has launched an informational, summary page that helps entrepreneurs navigate the changes and compliances affecting them by topic.
The regulation on e-cash registers has been in effect since the beginning of April, which opens a new era for many businesses and may put an end to the era of manual receipts. Számlázz.hu has launched a new page that aims to help entrepreneurs during the transition period. There is a need for education, as many users have searched for the legislation on Számlázz.hu in recent weeks, while there is a lot of misinformation circulating on social media about the interpretation of the regulation.
Currently, around 200 thousand businesses are obliged to use online cash registers. Primarily, retail stores, restaurants, accommodation, taxis and pharmacies work with online cash registers, which will eventually be replaced by e-cash registers. The grace period for the final transition is until July 1, 2028, and with the cloud-based e-cash register, manual receipts can be replaced in the form of e-receipts.
The authorities remind you that it is worth switching to e-cash registers from the summer, because they do not need to be serviced annually. Another advantage of e-cash registers is that the business using them is exempt from the obligation to retain receipts. The e-receipt system will begin to be activated from July 1, 2025. During this period, businesses can voluntarily switch to e-cash registers, which issue electronic receipts and automatically transmit the data to the NAV Receipt Repository system.
As one of the most significant fintech companies in Hungary, Számlázz.hu helps hundreds of thousands of businesses solve business administration tasks every day.
“The introduction of e-receipts and e-cash registers affects many of our customers, and we are doing everything we can to help them. We are in contact with hundreds of thousands of businesses, and education is important to us. The information site we have just launched provides answers to the most important questions in an understandable format, broken down into topics. As always, our mission is to save entrepreneurs time and money, to support them in their everyday work, so that they can deal with the truly important matters,”
– said Balázs Ángyán, CEO of Számlázz.hu.
