Dylan Lauren To Receive 2018 ISM Award
Dylan Lauren, founder and proprietor of Dylan’s Candy Bar, will receive the ISM Award 2018, which pays tribute to an individual that has performed exceptional service for the sweets and snacks industries, reports ISM organizer Koelnmesse GmbH.
Lauren built one of the largest sweet and lifestyle brands worldwide, the award presenter reports. Since 2001, the flagship Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York City has continually been featured on top 10 lists of New York tourist attractions, and the specialty candy shop draws more than two million visitors a year.
Established in 2014, previous ISM Award recipients included Herman Rowland Sr., chairman of the board for Jelly Belly Candy Co.; Felix Richterich, proprietor and CEO of Ricola AG; James N. Walker, of Walker Shortbread; and Gota Morinaga, representative director and representative chairman for Morinaga Co. Ltd.
This year’s award ceremony will take place at an exclusive dinner during ISM on January 28. Candy Hall of Famer Rick Ross, president of Galerie, will give the laudation.
