Some special pieces of the Southeast Asian fruit, the Durian are sold in a hypermarket in an Indonesian city for gold prices. For a single piece, 14 million rupees, 1343 USD, or more than 300,000, HUF should be paid – origo wrote.
Durian is a very popular fruit on that side of Asia. There are several versions, and those who like it swear to the taste and the extraordinary nourishment. At the same time, not all of the people who live there consume it, because the Durian is terribly stinking. (origo)
