PENNY’s renewed Karcag logistics center operates with double the storage capacity
One of the leading retail store chains in our country has reached another huge milestone, as the development works of PENNY’s Karcag distribution center have been completed. Thanks to the investment worth about 7 billion forints, the outside area of the facility was expanded by 30,000 square meters, and the building itself by 10,000 square meters, thereby almost doubling the storage capacity.
On November 25, PENNY’s expanded Karcag logistics center was ceremonially handed over, which can now serve 71 stores in the eastern region.
“We are very pleased that we have been able to contribute to the development of the Hungarian economy for 26 years now with our 228 stores served by our logistics centers in Lower Néméd, Veszprém and Karcag. One of the milestones of our long-term commitment to the country is our renewed frame facility, which helps us achieve our goals even more. That is, in order to get as many domestic products as possible into our stores, in which we offer our customers the freshest and best value for money products”
– said Florian Jens Naegele, the general manager of PENNY in Hungary, after the event.
