Gebrüder Weiss to develope in Dunaharaszti
Austria's largest transport and logistics service provider has expanded capacities and started up a new regional logistics distribution centre in Dunaharaszti.
The company informed the MTI (Hungarian
News Agency), that its Hungarian subsidiary, GW Hungary forwarded
844,000 packages in 2008, 25% more than targeted. The volume of the
shipments exceeded 250 million kilograms in total. According to
preliminary figures, the Hungarian unit of GW rose 8% year on year.
The company spent EUR 4.7 million on the development of logistics
at its Hungarian warehouses in 2007 and its budget was EUR 3 m last
year. GW opened its third facility in Hungary in Hajdúböszörmény
(214 km east of Budapest), boosting its warehousing area to 23,500
square metres.
