Cattle business is flourishing
According to the data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), Hungary's living cattle exports rose by 29 percent in 2015, compared to 2014. The main partners were Turkey, Austria and Russia.
Most of the cattle was transported to Turkey, where export increased by more than nine-fold. According to the summary, prepared by the Agricultural Economics Research Institute, the quantities shipped to Russia increased by two and a half times, while to Austria 11 percent more cattle was transported.
