Alphabet launching drone delivery
Alphabet, parent company of Google, is aiming to launch drone delivery this week in the area of Dallas-Fort Worth.
It will mark the company’s first drone delivery effort in a major U.S. city, according to an Engadget report.
The prime customer is Walgreens, and drones will be staged at store parking lots. The service will also deliver ice cream, Easyvet pet medications and first aid kits, according to the news report.
Deliveries will start on April 7 for residents in Frisco and Little Elm, north of Dallas.
