Drugstores realise one third of sales
The annual market of hair removal products is around HUF 1 billion. Retail’s revenue from value sales was 5 percent lower between March 2013 and February 2014 than in the base period and volume sales were down 3 percent. Drugstores’ share from value sales was stable at 65 percent and hypermarkets also retained their 30-percent share. Manufacturer brands’ share was 93 percent, just like a year before; sales of private label products – only sold in drugstores – were also steady.
