DREHER 24 Everest Expedition: To the summit
Klein Dávid and Várkonyi László aim to reach the summit of the Mount Everest without the help of oxygen supply and sherpas, in the scope of the Dreher 24 Everest Expedition (2010).
The ascent of the Everest without oxygen supply is an exceptional sport performance. The Everest was ascented more than 4,000 times, but less than 150 ascents were without oxygen supply. Dreher 24 Everest Expedition (2010) would achieve the first Hungarian ascent of the Mount Everest (8850 m) without oxygen supply. Since 1988, the UIAA ( the official International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation,) recognizes only those ascent, that are without oxygen supply.
