Export fall extremly
In January 2009, according to Hungarian Central Statistical Office's first estimates, exports amounted to HUF 1,172 billion (EUR 4,213 million), while the value of imports reached HUF 1,218 billion (EUR 4,405 million).
The Euro value of exports fell by 31
percent, that of imports decreased by 29 percent over the equivalent
month of the preceding year. In January, the trade balance showed a
deficit of HUF 46 billion (EUR 192 million), the balance deteriorated
by HUF 24 billion (EUR 98 million) compared to the same month of
2008.
The share of the European Union Member
States was 84 percent in exports and 67 percent in imports.
