Elevated coffee prices resulted in slower sales
Coffee has the fifth biggest turnover among the 90 products measured by Nielsen. Annual retail sales amounted to HUF 47 billion. Value sales were stable in the December 2010-July 2011 period but volume sales dropped 8 percent. Retail channels: 65 percent of sales was realised by units bigger than 400m² (hypermarkets were up 2 percentage points and supermarkets only lost 1). Private labels’ market share climbed from 14 to 16 percent.
