Autumn cereal seeds can become more expensive

The price of autumn cereal seed may increase slightly, among other things due to rising production costs – according to the forecast of the Seed Association Interprofessional Organization and Product Board (VSZT).

Takács Géza, chairman of the organization, said in a statement that a slightly higher informative price of net 101 thousand HUF per tonne was released for cereal seed on the basis of membership data. Last year the market price of autumn wheat was 99 thousand HUF, the barley price was 103 thousand HUF and the triticale price was 96 thousand HUF. (MTI)
