Spring brought an increase in the price of business invoices
Erste will increase the fees for corporate bank accounts with effect from May 5, 2026, with the annual inflation rate of 4.4 percent last year published by the Central Statistical Office – draws attention to the financial expert of BiztoDöntés.hu. At the same time, there are also fees that will decrease significantly at Erste this year or remain unchanged. With this, all major banks have published the conditions valid from spring, and the vast majority of them have increased the fees.
According to previous announcements, banks will raise the fees for corporate bank accounts in March and April by the annual inflation rate of 2025, i.e. 4.4 percent. Erste Bank has now joined them, with these fees increasing in May.
Banks that have announced inflationary fee increases so far:
- CIB Bank – from April 1, 2026
- Erste Bank – from May 5, 2026
- K&H Bank – from April 1, 2026
- MBH Bank – from April 1, 2026
- Raiffeisen Bank – from April 1, 2026
- UniCredit Bank – From March 1, 2026
OTP Bank announced that it will not increase its fees from February 15, 2026. Among the smaller banks, Oberbank also announced a general inflation fee increase from April 7, 2026.
Gránit Bank, KDB Bank and MagNet Bank have not yet announced any changes to their corporate account management fees. BinX, which deals exclusively with business account management, published its fees for this year last year, so no further fee increases are expected from the first Hungarian neobank this year.
Erstenel also has a fee that is decreasing
Erste will increase its business bank account fees in two months with the 4.4 percent consumer price index change established by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) for 2025. “At the same time, the bank is implementing a unilateral fee reduction for euro transfers between Erste Group member banks (so-called FIT payments) and for electronic foreign currency transfers within the bank,” points out Péter Gergely, financial expert at BiztosDöntés.hu.
The fee reduction is valid for transactions exceeding 3 euros from 5 May 2026. The listed fees will be significantly reduced to a fixed amount of 3 euros, while the bank fee corresponding to the financial transaction fee will remain unchanged.
There will be no increase in the fees for regular and electronic group transfers and forint deposit and withdrawal transactions for customers with a Micro-enterprise bank account in pricing category I.
Another important change is that from May 5, 2026, for transfers initiated from the accounts of natural person entrepreneurs not included in the Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (other self-employed persons, primary producers without a tax number, other private individuals with a tax number, and foreign entrepreneurs), the bank fee corresponding to the financial transaction fee must be paid only for amounts exceeding 50,000 forints. (Until now, the first 50,000 forints was also subject to a fee.)
There will be no changes to Erste Vállalkozói XXL Account package for electronic transfers initiated outside the bank, in addition, in each account package the percentage fee for bank cards’ own and foreign ATM cash withdrawals, which means a little relief for customers.
The issuance and annual fee for the Corporate VISA debit bank card, VISA Business bank card, VISA Platinum Business bank card will not change, but the fee for card re-production, PIN code re-production, and card replacement will increase in line with inflation.
