Russian vodka prices to go up
Russia, is raising the minimum price of vodka further in the name of the fight against alcoholism. It is feared that this move will favor the making of illegally produced spirits.
The country uses a minimum price for spirits since 2000. The minimum price is corrected each year.
According to the draft, published on the website of the Russian government the price of the cheapest half liter vodka will be 199 rubles (1,325 HUF) from 1 January 2014, which would mean a 17 percent price increase. In August 2014 a further price increase to 220 rubles is planned. (tozsdeforum.hu)
