Life is becoming more costly in the European Union too
In February 2011 consumer prices were 2.8 percent higher on average in the EU-27, compared to prices in February 2010. In March the rate of annual inflation was 3.1 percent in the EU. According to Eurostat, transportation and overhead costs increased the most, by 5.6 and 5.1 percent respectively.
