More expensive foods – less consumption in Europe
According to a research by Nielsen in 21 European countries, in 11 countries people buy less food as before. In the 3. quater such countries came on the list as UK and Italy too.
The European average seems to be
stabil, but in Hungary the sales in retail was 3% under the last year
value. In nominal the decreasing is higher, 5,7%. In volume Hungarian
shop 1,7% less products as a year before. Also in Czech Republic, Greace, Ireland, Italy and Spain was a decreasing by nominal value.
