Fruit and vegetables prices increase
Fruits will be expensive this year. 60-70 percent of strawberries, sour cherries and cherries were destroyed because of the rainy May – said Mártonffy Béla, Executive Director of FRUITVEB.
About 25 percent of the fruits produced in Hungary destroyed. In Hungary, however, consumers will have enough vegetables and fruits, though at a higher price, but not much will remain for fresh exports of – said Mártonffy.
To the increases of the costs also contribute, that fruits and vegetables could access well below the producer price all over Europe last year – reports Világgazdaság Online, after Klubrádió.
