Dove research: the fifth of women had never been satisfied with their mirror image

Women have complicated relationship with the mirror. They are not satisfied with what they see in it. The Dove wants the women to regard to their own mirror image positive, they would see their own beauty, as it is an important step in the strengthening of the self-esteem, which is the first step in the road to happiness. Compared to this, what happens when they look into the mirror? Third of women never smile when looking into the mirror – according to the recent global survey of Dove.

The survey carried out in 2014 with the participation of nearly 8,000 women has other interesting results :
· 90 % of the women feel bad if they have to look into the mirror
· 60 % of women not only sees the way they looks, but also how they feel
· 54 % of them are their most ruthless critics
· 40 % of women see themselves fat
· 30% of women feel uglier than before, after looking into the mirror
· 25 % of the women pull their stomach in, when standing in front of the mirror
· 20 % of women said that the evil mirror image messes up the rest of the day
