The EU court decided: the chocolate reindeer could not be protected
The European Union's general court decided not to accept the request of Lindt & Spruengli AG and August Storck companies over chocolate products.
The Swiss and German companies turned to Brussels, to get protection on their chocolate Easter bunnies, and Christmas chocolate reindeer figurines. The aim of the companies was to ensure that only their figures can be put on the European shelves, but the EU rejected the request – reports Világgazdaság Online, after AP.
