The tobacco industry’s operators and the tax authorities launched a campaign against the black market
The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) as well as the domestic tobacco industry players have launched a nationwide campaign against the black market sales of tobacco – was announced at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.

Szabó Károly, Customs and Revenue director general of the NAV pointed out: that the priority task of the tax authorities is to fight against illegal activity related to tobacco products, and primarily the fight against smuggled illegal products. Until the end of September this year, 85 million cigarettes were seized in a value of 3.4 billion HUF, which is more than all of last year's figure – he added. (MTI)
